Cambridge Delta

DELTA - GENERAL OVERVIEW

Delta is an advanced blend of theory and practice that will help you to develop professionally and give you skills and techniques that will help you throughout your career. Delta consists of three modules – you can take them together or separately, in any order and at any time.

Delta Module 1 (exam)

  • Registration deadline: April 28th.
  • Exam: June 7th, 2017
  • Results dispatched: August 20th, 2017
  • Fee: UAH 5000

Delta Module 2 (face-to-face course)

  • Course dates: July 10th, 2017 - August 18th, 2017 (registration is closed, no places left)
  • Course fee: UAH 59989 (to be paid before the beginning of the course) + GBP 128 for the certificate (to be paid during the first two weeks of the course)

Delta module 3 (coursework)

  • Registration deadline: April 28th.
  • Coursework submission: June 12th, 2017
  • Results: August 20th, 2017
  • Coursework submission fee: GBP 120

Robert has been teaching English for twenty-five years. He is the former Head of Teacher Training at International House Newcastle. He now undertakes teacher training for IH Newcastle on a part time basis. At other times he does freelance teacher training all over the world. He has run initial teacher training courses in the UK, Canada, Spain, Lithuania, Belarus, Serbia, Ukraine, Saudi Arabia, Dubai and China. He has also taught on DELTA courses in the UK and Australia.

He is also an International House Schools Inspector ad has visited many Ih Schools around the world.
When Robert is not involved in EFLT he enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, photography, organic gardening and visiting the gym.

Orlando Delgado Mata has taught EFL at all levels. Deeply committed to teacher development and training, he has taken a significant number of courses, such as the Cambridge ICELT, the FCTBE, the IH CAM and Delta. Since completing the IHCOLT certificate, he has been interested in e-learning and so he is also in charge of running the online tutoring department at IH Mexico and is an e-tutor on language courses on NetLanguages.com, where he teaches General English and IELTS Preparation. He ran IELTS preparation courses at International House Mexico from 2007 to 2009, being the main tutor on them and course developer. Apart from being a Cambridge ESOL Oral Examiner and TKT Practical Assessor, he is also a Cambridge ESOL TKT, CELTA, ICELT & Delta tutor. He works as both a Delta Local Tutor for IH London & the British Council and an Orientation Course Tutor on the Distance Delta programme. He also is an authorised CELTA & Delta Assessor, in charge of assessing CELTA courses and Delta Module Two Candidates in North, Central, South America and Europe, as well as training up new CELTA and Delta tutors. He helped IH Guayaquil set up their ICELT centre in Ecuador, and has tutored at different CELTA and Delta centres around the world, such as IH Vancouver, IH San Diego, Sol Schools Miami, The University of Texas at Austin, IH Newcastle, and IH San Isidro.

He is currently involved in developing the new MA TESOL programme for IH Mexico, and is also an external assessor and consultant for the Ministry of Education in Mexico. He holds an MA TESOL (Teacher Education) from the University of Manchester and his main areas of interest are Teacher Education & Development, Online Training, and Psychology of Language Learning.
